Hi Caspar,

So glad I was able to help a little. Here is a list of the sites I accessed which may help. I don't know where you live but I simply Googled Cadeby Hall, Lincolnshire because I was curious after visiting the site. Amazing what a simple Sunday afternoon stroll can turn up isn't it?

1. www.peerage.org/genealogy/cadeby.htm - includes some interesting old photos.

2. www.geograph.org.uk/photo/419464
another lovely old photo.

3. http://zurichmansion.org/halls/cadeby.hauntedhistory.htm
interesting information about the Hall being haunted!

4. risk.english-heritage.org.uk/news/crumbling-walls - this site mentions the owner as David Walsh (01604) 735400 but has no date.

5. www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/environment/planning/upload/northernweeklylist291007041107.doc - this is a planning application dated 31/10/2007 from Mr. Abbott of Cadeby House, which is situated just to the side of the drive to Cadeby Hall itself, and this would seem to be the people who have now erected a new extension and are at present renovating the property. I did find a site where someone calling themselves cadeby31 posted a comment which said they had been waiting to get planning for 10 years and that they hoped to restore it to it's former glory. It definitely looks (as I had a peep through the windows) that it is going to be a single dwelling and is being restored sypathetically. It still has it's original panelling in one of the downstairs living rooms.

If you would like me to go and photograph the property as it is today please let me know as it it only two minutes up the road from me.

Hope all this helps

Regards
Sally
