ESTER M. PYLANT
WHITAKERS - Ester Marlow Pylant, 89, went home to be with the Lord tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006.
Ester was a vibrant person filled with love and laughter. She was born Oct. 19, 1946, in Edgecombe County.
She loved her family and especially her four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amanda, Joshua and Joni Frances. She fought the fight and finally won the victory. God welcomed her to her new home where she will spend eternity.
Her memory will be forever cherished and she will be forever missed by her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Ola Marlow of Bethel; her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, John Pylnat of the home; four sons, Joseph Thomas Pylant and wife Kim of Nashville, Tenn., John E. "Pete" Pylant of Whitakers, Jeffery Wade Pylant of Raleigh and Earl Moore and wife Ann of Rocky Mount; five sisters, Frances Marlow Weatherburn and husband Carlton of Norfolk, Va., Patricia Marlow of Augusta, Ga., Ada Marlow Brixhoff and husband Paul of Summerton, S.C., Janet Marlow of Bethel and Bessie Dail of Conetoe; two brothers, Roland Henry Marlow of Tarboro and William Howe Marlow and wife Jill of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vester Henry Marlow.
Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. today at Bowling Funeral Home in Tarboro. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. James Rawls officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Bethel.
Arrangements are Bowling Funeral Home in Tarboro.
