I show that Lucy Dale Pilant/Pylant married John Urie Baker 19 Jan 1912 in Madison Co, Alabama. Her parents were Elias Henderson Pilant and Willie Ann Blagg. Think you'll find that all the PYLANTs, PYLANDs, PILANDs and PILANTs are related. My 4th gr-grandfather, Robert PYLANT (whose father was James PILAND), couldn't read or write and whomever wrote his will misspelled the name. To make matters worse, Robert PYLANT had six children; 3 chose the spelling PYLANT and the other 3 chose PYLAND. I have your line back to a John PILANT who was born in NC and died in Hawkins county, TN about 1820.
