On the Cumberland Church web site John Pylant b. 1772 is married to Carolina Bell. Most have him married to Elizabeth Brantley. I am confussed.

I am also interest in Pinkney Pylant who married Margaret Renfro. Margarets mother was Edith Gilbert, she married James Renfro 9-June-1814 in Cumberland CO., NC. Believe Margaret may have been James daughter by a previous marriage. Edith and James had a son James F. and a daughter Rebecca, my great grandmother who married James Wright in LCT. Also there was another female on the 1820 Cumberland NC census. Edith must have become a widow as she is on the 1850 Lincoln CO., TN census with the last name of Swindle but no husband. She is living with James F. Renfro and wife Esther Moore. James F. Renfro was one of the first members of the MT Hebron Cumberland Church in Norris Creek, Lincoln CO., TN., which is now Belleville. All the above were also members. I am trying to find out when Edith went to LCT, who Swindle was, and proof that Edith, James, James F. Renfro and Margaret Renfro were really my great grandmothers family. Also trying to find out who the other female was. I would be most appreciative if you can help me in any little way.
