Lucille B. Pylant, 100, a former resident of Holly Hill for 50 years, died Thursday at a local care facility in Winter Park.
Ms. Pylant, a former bakery owner, was born in Decatur, Ala., and moved to this area from Holly Hill. She was a member of the United Brethren in Christ Church, Holly Hill.
Survivors include five nephews, Lamar T. and Thomas Simmons, both of Winter Park, H. Eugene Simmons, Maitland, and William Counts, Ormond Beach; and a niece Ellen Harrellson, Yalaha, all of whom provided for her care. Cardwell, Port Orange, is in charge.

MAE ZELMA PYLANT, 95, 1900 Mercy Drive, Orlando, died Sunday. Born in Venus, she moved to Orlando from Fort Meade in 1983. She was member of the First Baptist Church, Fort Meade. She was a homemaker. Survivors: daughters, Nerene Johnston, Fort Meade, Peggy Owens, Orlando, Patricia Manley, Titusville; sister, Lorena Bryan, Fort Myers; nine grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. ALPHA ESTELLE PYLANT, 88, 941 E. Highway 50, Winter Garden, died Thursday. Born in Zephyrhills, she moved to Winter Garden from Tampa in 1983. She was a cigar maker. She was a Protestant. Survivors: brothers, Worth M. Ellerbee, Zephyrhills, Roy M. Ellerbee, Winter Garden; sisters, Lillie V. Olsen, Tampa, Ruby Bonser, Tarpon Springs. HARVEY L. PYLANT JR., 50, 2310 Devon Court, Winter Park, died Saturday. Born in Sycamore, Ga., he moved to Winter Park from there early in his life. He was a musician and a member of Reeves Memorial Methodist Church. He was an alumni of Rollins College. Survivors: son, Harvey L. III, California; daughter, Karen Marie, California. Rayner E Pylant 78, of 17613 First St. E, Redington Shores, died Friday (July 1, 1988) at Sun Coast Hospital. Born in Cambridge, Md., he came here in 1969 from Albany, Ga. He was a retired owner and operator of a TV service and repair company. During World War II, he served in the Navy. He was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Jennie; a half brother, Walter Pylant, Baltimore; several nieces and nephews. E. James Reese Funeral Home, Seminole. Published in St. Petersburg Times

Ellis Ray Pylant Jr., 60, Sarasota, died Aug. 22, 2002.
He was born Oct. 28, 1941, and came to Sarasota eight years ago from Jacksonville. He was a master plumber in construction and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his sons Kenneth and Lawrence F. of Florida; a sister, Peggy Arquette of Sarasota; a half-sister, Anita of New Port Richey; and a half-brother, Cecil of New Port Richey.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Edgewater Cemetery, Jacksonville. Ewing Funeral Home is in charge.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.

Willie Alma Cole Pylant, 90, of Quincy died Saturday.
The service will be today at Bethany Primitive Baptist Church in Tucker, Ga., with burial at Floral Hill Memorial Gardens in Decatur, Ga.
A native of Dekalb County, Ga., she had lived in Quincy since 1992. She was a member of Bethany Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, David Cole of Centre, Ala.; a stepson, Hyman R. Cole of Savannah, Ga.; and 10 grandchildren.

Barbara Pylant, 82, of St. Joe Beach died Wednesday in Panama City.
The service will be at 2 p.m. today at Oakland Cemetery in Tallahassee.
A native of Tallahassee and former resident of Marianna, she had lived in St. Joe Beach for several years. She was a Methodist.
She is survived by her son, C.P. Pylant Jr. of St. Joe Beach; her sister, Irene Donaldson of Knoxville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
