John and Theresa

My branch of the Pynes’s came from County Clare in Cooraclare / Tiernaglohan /Kilrush / Kilmacduane. My grandmother was Agnes Theresa Pyne, youngest daughter of Richard and Ellen Keough Pyne. (I believe Richard Pyne’s parents were Richard and Mary Gibson Pyne). I do not have information on Ellen Keough’s parents yet. Many of Agnes’ siblings came to America - many to the Buffalo, New York area:
John 1855 - 1924 (Ellen Scanlon),
Patrick (Nellie V.),
Richard (Chicago, IL),
Daniel 1866 - 1913,
Edward 1860 - 1915 (Bridget Connor),
Honora (Michael Scanlon),
Elizabeth (Charles Landgraf),
Anna 1878 - 1964 (John McInerney of Kilkee)
Catherine (John Stoddard),
Margaret
Thomas (1878 - 1955 (Suzanne ?),
Agnes Theresa (1885 - 1933 (John Long / John Halloran)

It is believed that great grandfather Richard Pyne married twice, both wives were named Ellen Keough (cousins from “down the road”.)

Family lore says that County Clare Pynes and Keoughs both went to Australia. We were told that a Keough became a Lt. Governor in Australia.

I would love to share information on this branch of the family. Do either of you have place locations in County Clare and/or any of these names in your Pyne lines? Mary Cecilia Long Murphy murphymcwf@aol.com
