Robert
I have quite a collection of Pyne family trees in the Devon and Somerset areas. No obvious match with your William , but the possibles are;

William, d 1615, s of Robert Pyne of Ottery St Mary, Devon
he also had a son William, d 1602

William, b 1538 brother of John Pyne of Curry Mallet Somerset.

The Ottery family go back just one furether generation to John Pyne, while the curry Mallet family go back to a Richard Pyne of Cathanger, b 1443.

Neither of these lines are connected for certain to the main Pyne family which started out in England in the 12th Century at the manor of Upton Pyne near Exeter.

If yu have descendants of William Pyne in England I would be interested and may be able to tie up with other details I have. There are a number of emmigrants I have come across so far.
