Hi,

I am looking for information on the death of Margaret PYPER Mather, born in Montrose, Angus, Scotland. This is what I know of her:

Born: Margaret PYPER 04 Nov. 1830, Montrose
Married: James MATHER, b. 09 Dec. 1833 Usan, Scotland. They married 16 August 1859 in Montrose.
Died: sometime bet. 1860 and 1873 in Montrose
Children: one daughter, Elizabeth Jane Low Mather, b. 28 Sept. 1860 in Montrose.

Her husband, James Mather, architect, emigrated to Ottawa, ON Canada around 1873 along with his young daughter, Elizabeth. There has been no mention of his married status on our Canadian sites. James designed numerous buildings in Ottawa, including Laurier House which was the home of Canada's Prime Minister at the time and other prime ministers thereafter.

I would be so grateful for any help.

Dorothy
Ottawa, ON Canada
