Thanks for your response. The following is the info that I have on the Begg and Pyper lines. If you think any of it is wrong or you have anythingto add then please reply.

Helen Begg as per your post is the daughter of George Begg and Ann Pyper.

George Begg was born 5/8/1854 died 19/6/1914
Son of Robert Begg died 30/8/1890
and Isabella Douglas died 19/9/1874
all above Parish of Fetteresso

Robert Begg was the son of John Begg and Elizabeth Murray
Isabella Douglas was the daughter of William Douglas and Margaret Watson.

The Pyper family
Ann Pyper was the Daughter of James Pyper and Isabella Caird

James was born 10/1/1826 @ Marykirk son of (This is the interesting bit) William Pyper and Mary Caird

William Pyper was born William Hastings or at least it appears that way. His death certificate shows he was married twice once to Ms White 2nd time to Mary Caird.
His parents first names are not shown but say - Hastings and - Hastings ms Pyper. IGI has a William Hastings marriage to a Whyte and William Pyper marriage to Mary Caird.

Back to the tree.
Isabella Caird b 19/10/1823 Fetteresso daughter of John Caird and Ann Davidson

William Pyper/Hastings parents as above
Mary Caird is the daughter of John Caird and Ann Duncan

I hope that is not to confusing I have some more dates and location details but I thought they may make the message even worse. If I can help or if you have any more info please reply
