Hi Norma

My line is Wm (b. abt 1794), James (b.10.1.1826), John (b.27.3.1863) then Agnes.

I'm sure you will know some of this but here goes. I know William's date and place of birth (New Deer) from 1851 and 1871 Census. From his death certificate I know he married twice - Mary Whyte (15.6.1813, New Deer) and Mary Caird (13.11.1824 - Glenbervie). I looked up deaths in New Deer and came across Ann Wilson (nee Hastings) who died 26.6.1865. From her death certificate she was born around 1792 and her father was Joseph Hastings (farmer, deceased) and Janet Hastings (nee Pyper, also deceased). Ann does seem to be William's sister but I can't prove it.

That's as far as I can go. Hope this helps. I would be interested if you find anything else.

Heather
