My ggg grandmother was Mary Noble Gardner, who emigrated to Utah with the Allen Taylor Company in 1849. With her on the journey were her two daughters Margaret Gardner Reid, her husband George Reid and their son George Reid; and Madeline Gardner Pyper, her husband John Pyper and their two children James Munro Pyper and Alexander Pyper.
Another of Mary Noble Gardner's children, Alexander travelled to Utah with the Daniel D. McArthur handcart roster in 1856.
My ggg grandfather James Gardner, had died in 1840 in Edinburgh and other children William, Marian, Mary, Agnes, James and Robert all died before 1845.
One son, John, survived and remained in Scotland, and married Jacobina Christie. They were my gg grandparents.
