Leo,
Look at postin #106 dated 7-3-99 by Charles Perdue. Here he gives some interesting Pyrant/Pyron background. I'm not sure how all this fits together, but it does seem that there is a second generation with a son of James Pyrant (ca 1680) named James Pyrant (baptized 4-27-1701). This makes sense because if your James is the father of William C. Pyron, then he would have been 76 years old - possible but seems unlikely.

what do you think?

also, I have conflicting information about the childern of William C. Pyron and Mary Jane Powell's children. Some sources show more children named James (1776), Thomas Russell (1778), Drewry, Charles (1808), and a Martha (bef 1814).

I am a descendant through Jane PYron dau of William C and Mary Powell.

I am also a descendant through a Thomas Russell Pyron (5/13/1822-) m Margaret C. McCall. I need help with the parentage of this Thomas Russell(1822). He is either the son of your Thomas Taylor, or a Thomas Russell Sr.? Please let me know if you have any insight into these folks!

Thanks
Laura Remissong
