I saw your posting with information concerning the Pyrant/Pyron family and wonder if you may know anything about Nancy b. 1787, Mary b. 1789, and Sarah b. 1796 - all daughters of William. I know it is a long stretch, but, several of us have been trying to locate our "James COLEMAN" who married Nancy Ann _____ in Orange County, North Carolina. We know that James and Nancy had a son, also named James COLEMAN.

They left NC and only the son shows up in Knoxville about 20 yrs. later. We presume the father must have died. There is an "Ann COLEMAN" who is in church records in Knoxville that fit the time period. Also, in the 1860 Census it shows a "Mary PYRON" and a "Sary PYRON" living with James COLEMAN (the son and his family). Ten years earlier these two "spinsters" were listed in Wilson Co., TN with a John PYRON.

All we can go on at this time is the possibility that the PYRONíS were related in some way - hopefully - it was our Nancy Annís maiden name. I know it is a long shot - especially since her birth date would fit our picture better if she were 10 years older, but who knows, maybe our man was really 10 years younger!!

I have been to Orange Co., NC, and to the State Library, but did not get far.

Any light you may be able to shed on this would be appreciated.
