Pyron mystery -- Franklin Co, AR 1900-05

I'm holding out hope that someone has the answer to my family's long time mystery. My grandfather, Harley Cecil Pyron, was born 27 Jan 1905 near Ozark, Franklin Co, Arkansas. His mother was Hallie Pearl Hicks, born 2 Jun 1887. Roughly, she would've been 13 at the turn of the century and about 17 and a half when giving birth to my grandpa. The way I have heard the story, my grandpa's father died when he was just a toddler, and then Hallie Pearl Hicks [-?-] married Robert Marion Pyron, who adopted my grandpa for sure, and maybe some other kids (she had 4 total that I know of, but I'm unsure if some of the 4 were offspring of Robert Marion Pyron or the previous husband). To complicate this whole mess I guess the county courthouse burned down, eradicating my grandfather's birth certificate and who knows what else was lost. All of the original children are since deceased, and as I remember long ago talking to my grandpa even he did not know who his biological father was. Looking at the age of my great grandmother when she had him, she was a little on the young side and this might have even been an unrecorded marriage as far as I know. The kids names (after adoption) were Harley Cecil Pyron, Thelma Naomi Pyron, Harold Hicks Pyron, and Olen (?) Pyron.
Anyone, please, do you know how I could even begin searching for the answers? I'd be indebted to you for >LIFE< if you could help me out on this one!!!
