Hi Ann,

I'm interested in two descendants of T.J. Polk. He lived next door to my ancestor William H. Williams prior to the Civil War in southwestern Lee County, MS.

Erasmus Rasbury Polk married Louisa Elizabeth Williams, a dau. of W.H. Williams. And Louisa Melinda Polk married John Thomas Williams, a son of W.H. Williams. Louisa Melinda's descendants stayed in Lee County for the most part, but Ras' descendants went west to Milam County, Texas. If you need more on them, let me know and I sure can supply it, but it might be too far related for you to be very interested.

If you know anything else about that Alexander McGaughey, I would be interested in that too, since that surname ties into a few of my lines in the area too.

Thanks!

dave
