Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Joshua Pyron was born in Caswell County, NC in 1770, the son of John and Mary Cates Pyron. In 1800 he abandoned his wife and children in Caswell County and ran off to Tenn. with another man's wife, Susannah Kerns. He was in Smith County in 1840, and is probably the father of your Susanna, that being his "wife's" name. (Her husband's divorce petition in 1811 was denied. I don't know if he later succeeded.)
