I can tell you something about William. I will have to dealve deeper in my files to do better.
The dates furnished were on file in pension claim 8. 8875,based upon the military service of William Pyron in the Revolutionary War. William was born in 1757 in Hanover, Louise,or Henrico Co.,Va. He moved as a child with his parents to Caswell Co. NC. The names of his parents were not given on these papers. While residing in Caswell Co., he inlisted in the spring of 1778. He served as a private under Captian Robert Moore's and Marlboro's Companies, Colonel Archibald Lytles' NC regiment, and was discharged about July, 1779.He was later employed in the public shops, six miles from Hillsboro NC in making wagons for the army. William moved in 1792 to Mecklenburg Co.,NC. He was allowed a pension on his application executed Sept. 1, 18o3, or 43 I couldn't make it out. At that time he was living in Mecklenburg Co. He died June 27, 1850. Leaving Children: Mary Helms,Sarah Helms, Emilla Secrist, and Jane Crowell. The said June Crowell was of Union Co.,NC in 1852. There was no mention of a wife.
I will look over my files and try to get back with more information. Would like to hear what you have. Jeepy
