Your Rosa Pyron is dau. of Charles Milton Pyron and Essa McKay. Both Reedus McKay and Joe McKay are grandsons of Rosa's sister Mary J. Pyron McKay and live at Hamilton. Reedus is 90 and remembers well. Both have listed telephone numbers.
Charles Milton was the son of Jackson Pyron and Hannah Rae(Essa McKay's half sister Patsy McKay was married to Milas Rae - brother to Hannah) Hannah Rae was the daughter of John Rae and Rebecca Turner of Mecklenburg Co., NC
Essie McKay's parents were Norman McKay b. 1787 NC and in Putnam Co. Ga. by 1809 when he married 1-Lydia Holloway. He was in Pikeville in Marion Co., Al abt 1820 where he opened a general store McKay's Store which is listed on the town maps of 1830s and 1860.
Norman remarried abt 1832 to Martha Dobson (widow of Wilson White) and they had alarge family of children. Dobson family is very well documented.
If you are interested in a copy of my information on the Pyron/Mckay families, email me with your home address and I will send you a copy.
Also----My Johnathan Glasscock and wife Dicy Martin are in the 1850 census of Marion Co.,AL. Jake was a cousin to either one or both of my grandparents.I suspect Jake's Martin line ties in with my grandmother's Martin line. His wife,Rosa, would have been a cousin to my Grandfather McKay.
A Dr. Martin also fits in with this Martin family and he practiced around Hamilton, AL.Also, Alan Bannister married 1-Martin then married 2times more. Don't know if that might help with your tracing this family.
