I think it is interesting that you brought up the issue of Mohawk Indian. My Gr Gr Gr Grandfather was Nicholas Quackenbush b 1821 and married to Freelove Preston, who I have been told was an Indian. I do not have any idea on how to verify this, but thought you might like the tidbit of info. I believe Nicholas lived at Forestport NY, but am not positive. I do know his son, Timothy Edward did, and is buried there. If you would want to swap any info you have, I would be willing
to share what I have, although I am not sure what I have is gospel. Please respond, or contact me if interested.
