For anyone looking for Nancy's father:

I found this while looking up Cooks & Smiths; it was so different from what I usually see in abstracts that I had to jot it down. Maybe it can help someone who has hit a dead end.

This came from "Abstracts of Wills for Montgomery Co., NY 1782-1838" copied by Edith V. Becker, a member of NY G&B and presented to NY G&B.

Vol.IV, page 16.
Isaac Quackenbush of Oppenhein.
Will was probated in 1929
Will Mentions:
Daus.: Polly, Eve, and Nancy wife of Christopher Snell.
Illegitimate Daus.: Cyrena & Mariann
Illegitimate Son: David
Illegitimate children are of Margrate, wife of Henry H. Smith Jr.
Allow Margrate to live in my house and to bear my name.
