Rick, I appreciate your reply and the information contained therein. Granville is my great-great-grandfather, and you've let me add one more generation back. One other question you might be able to help me with. My line of Quackenbushes does not seem to trace back to Pieter in the 1600's. Oral history says that my ancestors came from Germany when 4 brothers settled in Connecticut. Would you know of any such line? Thank you very much again for your help, and any other info that you might be able to forward to me.
