I began looking in the family history recently and found the following information beginning with my grandfather:
William R. Lindsey born 1887 died 1952 in Hooks, Tx. His father was Joe Lindsey and mother was Sarah Jackson.
spouse was Lilly M. Quaid born 1890 died 1953 in Texarkana, Tx. Trying to get her death certificate now.
I have a newspaper article on Tommy Quaid who was born Nov 12, 1917 in Tishomingo, Ok and lived in Ardmore, Ok. I'm trying to connect him with Lilly but haven't done it yet. There wasn't a date of death but he's buried at Lone grove Cemetary apparently in Ardmore, Ok.
I'm a member of Onegreatfamily.com and the information on the rest is there.
I'm not sure if Young Harrington Quaid was Lilly's father or not. Young married Donna Ann Cofield in Gainesville, Tx in 7-31-1882. The records show Lilly being born in 1885 in Gainesville, Tx.
Young's father may have been Thomas Walter Quaid married to Emily Ann Moore and had Young in 1855 in Griffin, Cherokee, Tx.
So here's what it would look like:
Thomas Walter Quaid wife Emily Ann Moore had Young Harrington Quaid who married Donna Ann Cofield who had Lilly M Quaid who married William R. Lindsey who had Vester,Nellie,Sherman, Clarence, Madeline. Sherman Lindsey married Betty Marie Otwell who had me.
There is a Lilly M. Quaid in the Choctaw registry. Have a picture of my grandmother but was always told she was Cherokee and Grandfather was Choctaw. Could have been reversed after so many years.
