Cindy, John Washington Little and Ruthy E. (Bowman) Quaid were married in Cooke Co TX 28 May 1882. I belive she died in 1885. John & Ruthy had one child, Sarah Evelina in 1883. In Cooke Co TX Probate records there is a J.W. Little, lunacy. Administrator J.M. Little. According to the Clerks office in Cooke Co., this J.W. Little died 14 Feb 1896. So he is the John W. Little buried at the New Hope Cem. in Cooke Co with these dates: b. 11 May 1839 d. 14 Feb 1896. There are other Little's buried at the New Hope Cem., one being a J.M. Little 7 Jan 1845-16 Jan 1903. He was a brother of John, as well as the administrator of his estate. In the County Court of Cooke Co TX April Term 1885 J.M. Little vs J.W. Litle To the Hon. J,P. Hall Judge of said court. J.M. Little, a resident of Cooke Co TX would respectfully show to the Court that J.W. Little, who resides in Cooke Co TX., and who is possession of an estate situated in Cooke Co TX, is of unsound mind and is now temporarily absent at Austin, TX for the purpose of being treated for insanity in the asylum. He further avers that the said Little is a male person, about forty five years of age, and is without any Guardian, either of his person or estate, that his estate is the probable value of $800 is situated in Cooke Co TX and consists of horses, hogs, catttle and promissory notes. He avers further that he is now a resident citizen of Cooke Co TX and that he is not disqualified from acting as the guardian either of the said Little's person or estate. Wherefore your applicant prays that notice hereof be given as the law directs and at the next session of this court, your applicant be appointed guardian of the aforesaid J.W. Little, resident of Cooke Co TX, respectfully represents that Sarah Evilina Little, a minor and female person of about 13 years of age and is a resident of your county, and that her mother died a number of years ago and that her father died on the 14th of Feb 1896 in Cooke Co, and left your said minor as his only heir, and that he left real and personal property in said Cooke County of the estimate value of about one thousand dollars and that your said minor is without any lawful guardian of her person or estate. Wherefore your petitioner says that he is the uncle of said minor and is not disqualified from receiving letters of guardianship, wherefore your petitioner prays that notice of this application be given as required by law, and that he be appointed guardian of the person and estate of said minor. Vanderslice in 1901. Sarah Eviline, shown as Evie in the 1910 census married John William Vanderslice and moved to Hopkins Co TX. Sadly she died young too, in 1919 after the birth of her 7 th child, her children: John Little's grandchildren 1. Grace Jewell b. 1903 2. Opal May b. 1905 3. Perry Vester b. 1907 4. Sadie Fay b. 1910 5. John Parvin b. 1913 6. Raymond R.L. b. 1916 7. Unknown child b. & d. 1919 I believe that Sarah Evilina is buried at the Reilly Springs Cem in Hopkins Co. I believe also that John Washington and James Madison Little were children of Daniel W. Little & Hannah Dunn Sheffield. Tell me more about the Little's you're researching.
