The information I have relating to the Quaintance children refered to, as much as I know, is below:

James (1789-1858) b.Farringdon/rockbeare m. Elizabeth Haywood

They had the following children:
James (1 DEC 1815/7 - >1851) Rockbeare
Elizabeth (1819 - )
William QUAINTANCE(1821-1850)m. Julia Tucker
John (1823-28) Rockbeare
Mellony (29 OCT 1826 Rockbeare-1901 Bristol)
Mary Ann (1829-1853) Rockbeare

William QUAINTANCE(1821-1850) and Julia Tucker had the following children:
Mary Ann (7 JAN 1842) b.Rockbeare m. James Wardle, 1865 in Newcastle
Nancy Penny (21 JAN 1844 - ) b.Clyst St Mary m. William Henry HOCKADAY 1869 Bermondsey, London
Harriet QUAINTANCE b: 1846 b. Clyst St Mary m.William Hawkings, 1868 Rockbeare
Henry (b/d 1848) Sowton and Elizabeth Ann (b/d 1850) Sowton

The information as to who was living as 'paupers' at the time differs every so slightly on the following site: http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/alantucker/geneal.htm

William QUAINTANCE was my GreatGreatGrandfathers cousin
