Hi, Scott,
Sorry to be such a long time responding, but this is the first I've checked back with this forum in many months. A co-author and I have done extensive research for a comprehensive biography of artist George L. Quaintance, 1902-1957. He was born June 3, 1902 in the village of Alma, Page County, Virginia. His parents were George Henry Quaintance and Ella Belle Kibler Quaintance. He left for NYC to study art at the Art Student League in 1920 when he was only 17 years old. The drawings you have of Aunt Ruth and Aunt Lolly were given to me by my friend, the late R. Kenneth Holtzman. The two women depicted were Kenneth's aunts, not Quaintance's. I sold the drawings on eBay in 2002.
