Tamson was an Orson not a Buffington. There is no link of Tamson to the Buffington family except through Elizabeth Buffington Freeman. I believe the real connection Tamson had to Elizabeth was that of a sister-in-law through Elizabeth's first husband, Peter Collins. I believe Peter Collins had a sister named Tamson who married George Orson. On Peter Collins will Tamson Orson signs as a witness. The Tamson who married William Quaintance would have been too young to be a witness and so I assume it must have been her mother. I am trying to prove this. However, I believe there is suffiecient proof through court records that Tamson Orson married William Quaintance.
