I wonder if any of your Quaintrell's are related to a Frank William Dundee Quaintrell who came out from London (somewhere!) and settled in NZ. His father had died, mother eventually remarried. I believe he was named after his father. He settled in Taratahi, which is now Clareville, an area of Carterton. I am no relation, just researching the early settlers and or buried at local cemetery. Dundee would be a giveaway surely.. must have been passed down through the family..He would have arrived in NZ in late 1800s.
