Hi Adele

Have received Frank's birth cert - funny how illegitimacy didn't even occur to me! He was the son of Frank William DUNDEE and Jane QUAINTRELL. Confirmed to be my Frank as occupation is Paymaster 19th Foot. From his military records, Frank Snr was Paymaster and Lieut. in the 19th from 1858 and based at home (London)until he went to Malta in 1868. He married Ellen Sophia Baker on 2 July 1861, only 6 weeks after Frank Jnr was born. Poor Jane! Frank died in Sussex in 1898. His Will was written in 1862, and simply leaves all to Ellen or to any children if she pre deceased him. Will send a scan of certificate to your email address, and would love to hear of his family's version of events.

Debra
