I have been trying to tie in the various QUAITE/QUAIT families to our branch of the family tree. Several family lines, most relate back to various JAMES QUAITE'S. Sometimes within one family the "e" is missing. Have info on one branch to Australia, two to Canada. Missing many DOB's, and can't link some names to any limb!
Presently researching a Captain William Quaite from the Whitehead area. Possible DOB 1890's. Who were his parents?? Also need info on a James Quaite, married possibly an Ellen Weir, Belfast, with a son named James Weir Quaite,b.1872,Belfast. This is the Q. who went to Australia. Need to know parents of elder James. Our branch descends from a DAVID QUAITE (1832-1910) and ELLEN ? (1834-1904). Hope to exchange info. Pat Q.
