Looking for information regarding Elling Olson (Kvåle) Qualley, b. Jan 11, 1858, Sogndal, Stedje Church, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway.
Emmigrated with mother and brother on April 12, 1882, Bergen to US. Parents: Berthe Ellingsdatter Kvåle(Quale) Qualley, b. 1836 and Ole Petersen Gurvin, b. 10-21-1831, Sogndal. Brother: Peter Olson Kvåle (Quale) Qualley, b. 7-27-1860, Sogndal.
This family of 3 traveled to Austin, Minn, Mower Co., and I believe later to Chicago and then Garfield Table, Nebraska, Lincoln Co.
Elling may have taken the last name of Qualley or Olson. I believe I have a photograph of him but do not know what has happened to him or his family. If you might know, please contact me at my e-mail address.
