Seeing someone else named "Chris Qualls" prompted me to respond to your message. My uncle George had a son move to California when I was young.I don't remember his name, just that he moved to California when he got old enough to live on his own.His father, George Qualls, moved to Wichita, KS from Chattanooga, TN before I was born in the 60's.As far as any other Qualls in California, a friend of mine in Fairbanks, AK told me of a patient she saw there this year that originally lived in California and moved to Alaska years ago.He also did not know of any other Qualls's other than his immediate family. To be honest, that seems typical of several Qualls families I know, including mine (may be a holdover from hiding some of the Indian heritage back in the 1800's, at least in my family tree). If you want to see a message regarding my family tree to see if you recognize any of the names, check message #697 on this forum.
Also, back in the 70's I met a woman in Rossville, GA, that said she gave up a son named Chris Qualls for adoption and that she had no idea where he had gone after he was adopted.Though she's not related, I should be able to get you in touch with some people that are related to her if you think there is any chance you might be related.
Anyway, I hope the above information helps.Good luck in your search.
Sincerely,
R. Christopher Qualls (Chris)
