Your name caught my eye - my mother in law's name was also Mary Marler. We are searching for her father - who was rumored to me Lark Qualls. She was born in Rochester County and moved to Quanah where she married Ervin Marler. We are unable to locate any information about her birth. So, although I can't tell you about your gggrandfather - ( wish I could ) - I thought I would touch base in the event that you have any record of Lark Qualls.
