Glenda -- Thank you so much for sending me the packet of information on the Qualls family which included copy of the original Marriage License of my great aunt, Mary Ellen Reser. I have searched for this marriage date for a long time. According to the document, On July 26, 1886 in the County of Washington, State of Arkansas, Mr. John Qualls of Hill Top,in the County of Boone, State of Arkansas, age 21 years, married Miss Mary E. Resser of Fayetteville, County of Washington, State of Arkansas, aged 21 years. The marriage was solemnized by J. F. Johnson, Justice of Peace. This couple had one child, Claude Z. Qualls, born 6 Oct 1887 in Boone County, Arkansas and died 20 Mar 1934 in Maud, Oklahoma. He is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma. Mary Ellen was born 1883 in Illinois. All the Reser family tradition has been that she died when Claude was seven days old. That would make her death date about 13 Oct 1887, Boone County, Arkansas. I feel sure that she is buried next to John Beverly Qualls in the Hilltop Cemetery, Boone County, Arkansas under a monument likely placed there by Claude's son, Clyde, with inscription: "Qualls, grandmother of Clyde, Mary, Leon and Lucille," Thank you for providing an important piece to this family puzzle.
