This is very interesting to me...
I have Rolin Qualls b. 1792 married Nancy Trobaugh b. abt.1787. Both born in VA and married in Ten. in 1809.
The 1820 U.S. Census has Roland in Kentucky with 1 female(Nancy) and 5 children less than 10 years of age. I only have names for Alfred (b.abt.1815) and James (b. 1820). I also have Margaret (b. abt. 1825). It's possible you have come across one of their missing children.
Rolin and Nancy's son Alfred married Mary Ann "Polly" Trobaugh(they were cousins)in 1834 in Indiana. This is my line.
Son James married Nancy ? abt. 1839 and their children included George W. b. abt.1842 and Rolin b. abt 1849.
With the exception of Rolin and Nancy, the names we share seem to belong to different people. I have a lot of info on various Qualls and will see if I can find more on your people.
Can you tell me your sources of information that leads you to Rolin and Nancy?
