Qualls Family Genealogy Forum

According to one of the organizers of our family reunion (scroll down the message list to see some of my earlier posts), a William T. Quarles (son of Roger Quarles II) that served as a Lt. in a Virginia regiment during the Revolutionary War moved to White Plains TN from Bedford County VA in 1809. He is currently buried in a cemetary near Algood, TN. His son, William H. Quarles, is a direct ancestor of mine through John A. Quarles, William Braxton Quarles and Christopher Columbus Quarles / Qualls (my great grandfather, the one who changed his surname to Qualls). I would like to know if anyone has any information on the Virginia Quarles's that are related to William or Roger Quarles from early 1800's Bedford County VA. I am told by my source that the family goes back to the Jamestown settlement (probably not an original settler, but definitely a resident in the 1600's).
As I get more information on the accuracy of this lineage, I will post it on this site.
