I didn't realize it had been so long since I checked out the Genealogy Forum pages. You've probably found the information on your own by now. The information I have does not list a Nathaniel Quarles as a son of William P. Quarles or as a brother of William Hawes Quarles. WH was born in Virginia in 1792, and moved to Tennessee with his father in 1805. The rest is listed in my previous post.
FYI, according to the people that are reviewing the history of the Jametown colony, they claim that there was no Quarles at the colony before the 1700's, which is contrary to the information I have. They do, however, mention that one of the old colonist mentioned a John Quarles in their will that was back in England at the time. I'll have to review that e-mail and update this posting later.
