Thank you for sending the information on the Quam family. Ole 'Johannessen' b Jan 1830 would be my 'Ole Arnson Quam', father of Rachel Quam. I had the dates for Ole's brother Johannes 'Johannassen' b Apr 1838, who also Married into my Schlanbusch family. I should have known that my Ole Arnson should have been Ole Johannessen, (son of Johannes). Is your information from a bygdebok or church records?
I have J Hart Rosdail's book on the Sloopers. I purchased this because of Ragnille Olsdatter and Ole Olsen Hetletveit's connection with Rachel Quam and my Schlanbusch family. And for the information it has on the Fox Valley Settlement. A good book, one that I just started reading. The Hetletveit chart has some of the family back to the early 1500's.
