Thanks for your reply. I myself went to Lawrence Univ, but I never knew that cousin Victor did. The 1900 Ashland census was my first clue some years ago that the "Edwards" family was of recent Norwegian origin (like the Quams). Granpop (Everett Edwards) apparently never told anyone of his father's Norwegian descent, although the family knew Isabel Quam, his mother, was Norwegian. Thomas Edwards ran a lumber company in Ashland, so probably met up with the Kennedys there.
Everett married into a California family (Everests and Dyers), and spent most of his adult life in Newport Beach (when he wasn't riding around on horseback prospecting for oil in South America). Perhaps the Kennedys/Edwards/Quams saw each other in Los Angeles.
