Luis Quan, New York City, September 6, 2000

My name is Luis Quan. I've always found it rather ironic and to an extent awkward that I have an Asian Last Name and I'm from Hispanic background. Moreover, I've always been seriously curious about the origins or the genealogy of my family name. If anyone has any insight or information, I would really appreciate it. One important note that I feel I should mention is that my paternal family is from Guatemala and I've discovered that is not uncommon to find people in Central America who share my last name. Maybe that's a first step to answering my inquiries..
