Luis,
Were there also Irish in Guatamala? Believe it or not, Quan is also an Irish name. My father's father's mother's maiden name was Quan. Her family came from Carick on Suir (or Beg), Ireland. Maybe the "black Irish" are not descendants of Spanish sailors from the Armada, but from Korean's who discovered Ireland? (Just kidding!) Good luck.
