Hi George! Researching our Quance branch of the family tree has been a little difficult for me. You see, I believe our great grandmother, Minnie Quance, was illegitimate. I have found out that she is the daughter of Bessie Ann Quance (b. 3 Sept. 1856) and adopted by Bessie's husband Stacey Holding Miller (b. 29 Dec. 1855). I know that in the 1891 Census there is a listing including the following: Quance John Thomas Jr. Mary (age 35) Jane (age 33) Albert (age 29) Edgar (age 22) Minnie (niece-age 13) Minnie married George Henry (HARRY) Lane on 5 Dec. 1894. They had five children. George Stanley, Bertha Louise, Clessing, Percy Alton, and Norman Monroe. Minnie and Harry Lane lived on Governor's Road on a small farm, just outside Paris, Ontario. I have a few pictures of Minnie, but that is about all the info I have been able to gather. If this is a connection to your group, I'd love to hear back from you. Mary
