Firstly simon - hello- I met your parents once when i was more active in quance research twenty years ago. I organised a get together in west bromwich that they came to. Please send my regards to them.
Richard - we are fourth cousins - your grandfathers father was Ernest John b.1879, son of Ebenezer John b. 1857, whose younger brother James b. 1864 was my g- grandfather - I was the last generation to grow up in Handsworth i don't believe there are any left now. i have a tree going back to Richard and Suzanna in West Wiltshire in the 1820's, which traces some 190 (ish) descendants now spread worldwide.

I'm now hiding in Devon - where quances are thick on the ground - and determined to get back into this
