Hi Beverly,
The FRANCES ELIZABETH QUANCE I'm researching was born in 1849 in Michigan, but her father, WILLIAM QUANCE, was born in England, and her mother, ELIZABETH (surname might be RHYKMAIN), was born in New York. I'm somewhat familiar with the Quances that were in Quebec, but haven't found a connection yet. I guess I'll just keep searching. :-)
