Thank you for posting this information. They might be related but at this time I do not have documentation to prove a relationship. Sophia Marie Dorothea Luth Quandt's death certificate gave her maiden name as Luth. Her husband Fred "Fritz" Quandt died before she came to America in the 1860s.
1. Fred "Fritz"1 QUANDT was born in Germany. Fred died in Germany, and was buried in Germany. He married Sophia Maria Dorothea LUTH. She was born 1 Jan/Jun 1817 in Mecklenburg, Schwerin, Germany. She was the daughter of Hans Joachim Friedrich LUETH/LUTH and Sophie Elisabeth Anna BOHNSACK. Sophia Luth Quandt died 19 Aug 1901 in North Freedom, Sauk Co, Wisconsin, and was buried in North Freedom Cem, North Freedom, Sauk Co, WI.
They had 3 children:
2.u i. ? QUANDT, died before 1900.
3.m ii. John J.C. QUANDT, born 12 Jan 1841, died 25 Oct 1927.
4.f iii. Christine Sophia Maria "Mary" QUANDT, born 2 Dec 1843, died 18 Apr 1925. Christine married Friederich Wilhelm Johann Ode in Mecklenburg, Schwerin, Germany.
