My query tells all I know about the Quandts before they came to America. The ship manifest was found on microfilm at the National Archives by a cousin who lived in nearby Maryland. I would love to find the marriage record in Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany for Fred "Fritz" Quandt and Sophia Luth. He died young and she came to America with her son John and his wife Louise Prehn/Prein. I would also love to find their marriage record in Germany. If I had these two marriage records, then I would know where to look in German census records for them before they left Germany in late 1866.
