Have you discovered anything new on Thomas Quantrill?

I am searching for information on Captain Thomas Quantrill.

Hagerstown Volunteers
Attached to the 39 th. Reg't Maryland Miltia, Captain Thomas Quantrill served in the Defense of Baltimore, Battle of Blandesburg and North Point during the War of 1812.

War of 1812 Service Records
Thomas Quantrill
Company: Smalls command, Maryland Miltia
Rank Captain: Roll Box 170 Roll Ect. 602
Company; 39 Reg't (Fowler's) Maryland Militia.

Found him next on Census records in Washington DC.

I have a passed down family story that we were related to the Quantrill's haven't found that connection , yet it was either thru the Forsyth's of Hagerstown, Maryland or VA & PA or my Thompson line of Baltimore
Their seem to be a lot of Quantrills in the census records of Washington DC. But no one has listed any Quantrill's in that site at rootsweb.com?

Tom Thompson
Bradenton, FL.
