One David Quarles was son of William of Edgefield SC who died 1821, David's brother Samuel m, Susan Thurmond of Edgefield, Susan's Mother Elizabeth Key Thurmond buried at Mt, Lebanon, La, Her sister Lucy Key m, a Cabiness and lived in Claiborne Prrish probably near Minden, Samuel and Susan I believe moved to DeSota Parrish and likely on 1850 Census there, Elizabeth Key Thurmond died in 1875, a daughter, sister to Susan, was Harriett Thurmond who m, a Joseph White and they on 1840 Census of Cliborne Parrish, Sinerely, James Key
