I am looking for Wharton Quarles d. Feb.1804, who lived in King William County. His daughter married my gg grandfather (Elizabeth Quarles m. Young I. Clements, circa 1823-24)I want to know Wharton's parents. I was in King William County week before last and asked at the post office if there were any Quarles in the area. The only Quarles still left in the Manquin part of KW are old black families most likely the descendants of early slaves. The Quarles were an old and established family in the area but have died out or moved on.
