David Quarles recently sent me some information and some I already had from Sketches of Tennessee's Pioneer Baptist Preachers by Burnett. Jonathan Westley Quarles married Mary Green. His children were William A., Louisa Catherine, Caswell Tipton, Margaret L., Sarah P., Elizabeth M. and E.M. (a son). In Jefferson Co., TN a court case in 1820 between John F. McKnight and John and Francis Quarles was decided in favor of John F. McKnight. There was a John Quarles/Qualls in Sevier Co., TN later. Francis Quarles was born Feb. 7, 1752 in Goochland Co., VA and died after 1834 in Knox Co., TN. Francis Qualls and his wife were taken care of by John Kennedy in 1830, 1832, and 1833. Whether this relates or not I don't know. I do have some other information.
