Jim,

Thanks for your reply.
I have the info on William P.'s death 30th Oct. 1829. The line referencing "negro woman named Maria and Maria's child named Cynthia" is new info. Daniel's son Harve was born 1841 Florida, Mo. ggg grand Harve identifies his father and mother as Daniel and Hannah. He also states that Hannah was blind. In Mark Twain An Illustrated Biography, p.10 there are references to Aunt Hannah and "Uncle Dan'l". I have other documents that refer to Hannah as a blind nigress with white hair.
The 1870 Ralls County MO. Census list Daniel and Hannah together.
I have verifiable documention of Daniel and Hannah with the Quarles family from 1830-1860. The following leads me to believe that Dan an Hannah were in Bedford Co. Va. 1809.

The KEY that I am looking for is a specific business transastion between the Thomas Haynes Estate and William P. in May 1809 Bedford County Va. Daniel and Hannah are listed as a boy and girl slave properity of this estate.

Thank again,
